musubi says it with flowers

Musubi is an art director, it seems, with little known about him/her/zir apart from a penchant for flowers. I’m kind of a huge fan of florals, perhaps I should develop some love for the fresh kind? Wikipedia tells me that in addition to being a popular Japanese sushilike snack (with a disgusting sounding Spam version in Hawaii), “Musubi is the mystical power of becoming or of creation in Shinto”. I should be writing a paper on possibly becoming dehumanised – perhaps something to work in? I wonder if every culture has its own concepts of becoming – there’s definite similarities in at least Hinduisms and probably others too. Also who it was that first started spinning about becoming before D+G – would it be Hegel? D+G as in Deleuze and Guattari that is, not Dolce and Gabbana – although come to think of it they do have quite the hyperglam factor in academia. I reckon it would be quite fun to try illustrating A Thousand Plateaus with couture outfits, one for each or each concept perhaps?

In the beginning was the language, and the language was gravity

Some Brazilian-Iranian socialite-model that grungifies it up it seems. I don’t know (or care to, really) much about her but her hair! Incredible – I’ve been thinking of undercutting it for a bit now but perhaps I’ll give this a go instead? It seems versatile and I like it’s a bit softer than a full hawk. Good for the weather too, which is getting promisingly warm, even as nyc remains slightly soulcrushing post-Berlin. Nice take on the Madonna bra too?

berlin kann tödlich sein

Ahh! Berlin is like a morsecode of mental checkmarks so far, staccatoing really satisfactorially (as opposed to satisfiyingly maybe? more heavyset perhaps) like the bmm tsh music that seems especially popular. I’ve only ever been into ambienty idm and breaky glitchy digital hc type electronics before, so it’s been a nice introduction to more technosided and dancey stuff. My friend arrived and has been searching for the alternafilm strains; perhaps I should quest for the subaltern?

berlin can make you deathlike? or maybe deadly

I am here! My friend I was travelling with is not. It seems someone died on the subway yesterday making her miss her flight; shell be here tomorrow morning. I went through Brussels and saw surprisingly little of it, being stranded on the airside. I was trying to think of what my mental image of Brussels would be and it’s surprisingly pastoral/ Guernseyish – I think cows, butter, fields and the UN? Would do well to find out a bit more.Berlin however – first impressions are industrial in that very solidly European way.
